BHISMA / MARITIME APPLICATION
Indigenous quantum-safe maritime trust gateway.
A proposed application programme for ship-shore and autonomous maritime networks, including potential Indian Navy integration contexts. SAMUDRA-M explores a locally controlled security anchor for connected maritime equipment.
Under development. Not a production or deployed system. No Indian Navy approval, certification, procurement, partnership or operational deployment is claimed.
Maritime networks may operate with delayed, intermittent or unavailable connectivity. The proposed gateway would apply approved local policy while respecting explicit limits for identity validity, revocation information and recovery when links return.
Quantum-safe session establishment and device verification are intended capabilities. Protocol choices, trust provisioning and interoperability must be evaluated.
Hardware-protected keys, secure boot and signed updates aim to establish a controlled trust boundary. Physical assurance and failure handling remain engineering work.
Local security during intermittent connectivity requires bounded credentials, authorised actions, audit handling and reconnection policies. Offline operation is not unlimited trust.
SAMUDRA-M is a dedicated maritime programme within BHISMA’s broader enterprise and critical-infrastructure focus. It is not the SHAKTI PQC-Key token or a claim that one product fits every environment.
